DESCRIPTION

New Jersey is filled with places we pass every day without truly understanding the role they played in our state’s past.

Standing along busy roads, tucked away in small towns, or thoughtfully repurposed, these landmarks carry the stories that shaped the Garden State. Many have stood for generations, quietly witnessing the growth and change of the neighborhoods around them.

In this follow-up to Forgotten New Jersey, author, historian, and photographer Rich Romano continues exploring the state’s distinctive and often overlooked sites. Through original full-color photography and well-researched historical context, this volume brings renewed attention to rusted industrial sites and grand old estates, weathered churches and cemeteries, roadside attractions, and the monuments and markers that remain scattered across our state.

Some entries remain active parts of their communities. Others have faded from prominence. All share decades-old stories waiting to be rediscovered. Forgotten New Jersey 2 invites readers to take a closer look at familiar landscapes and uncover the hidden history found throughout every corner of the Garden State.
