Dale Peterka grew up in a family that featured cameras, tools, and machinery. He has written over two dozen articles for various journals and periodicals, and has toured the Northwest for fifty years by car, airplane, motorcycle, and Amtrak. A past president of the Great Northern Railway Historical Society, the Cincinnati Railroad Club, and the Cincinnati Color Slide Club, Fr. Peterka is a former classroom teacher, pastor, and hospital chaplain.
