Keene Through Time

Author(s): Eric Stanway and Alan Rumrill
$23.99
DESCRIPTION
Keene is, first and foremost, a city of reinvention. Since its founding in 1736, it has prospered as an agricultural community, an industrial and transportation center, the home of a major state college, and, most recently, a hub for culture and the arts.

Throughout all these changes, it has remained resilient, and many of the older buildings are still there, repurposed to new businesses. This volume traces those changes and shows how the past is still inextricably intertwined with the present.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR(S)
Eric Stanway is a writer, artist, and musician with over three decades of experience. He has written over twenty-five books of local history, including The Old Rindge House and Madame Sherri. He lives in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, with his significant other, three cats and an extended family. He is a past board member of the Fitzwilliam Historical Society.

Alan Rumrill is a native of southwest New Hampshire, where his family has resided since 1770. He has been executive director of the Historical Society of Cheshire County for thirty-five years. During that time, he has written seven books and presented more than 1,000 public programs on regional art and history. His passion, as well as his profession, is sharing stories of the region’s past.
