As the eldest great grandson of Jack Dragna (“Perhaps the only classic ‘godfather’ that the city has ever known,” Los Angeles Times), organized crime has long been a field of study for J. Michael Niotta, PhD. The author-historian has appeared on Showtime, Paramount+, and the History and Travel Channels, and lectured at the Las Vegas Mob & Law Enforcement Museum. The Iraqi Freedom Veteran with 24 years of military service has also delivered programs on the Italian enemy alien situation stateside during WWII for the Order of Sons & Daughters of Italy in America (OSDIA). He is the president and founder of the nonprofit El Rey Beer Club.
