Jenn Brown is a self-trained, hobby photographer on Long Island, NY. Her photographic work centers around vacant areas and buildings of historic character. Growing up in a household of trade workers, Jenn was inculcated to a world where craftsmanship reigned supreme. Jenn's early interactions with skilled labor influenced her to art and her later career choice in textile work. Her long interest in the ornate architecture, that dominated the twentieth-century American landscape, was a result and would add to what she refers to as "an addiction to abandonments." The constant search, thrill, and capturing of these structures has given her purpose. Now, free from anxiety and depression, exploring has shaped her into the person she's always wanted to be.
